Lyndon Scaffolding operatives have won ‘Team of the Year’ and ‘Person of the Year’ site awards from top main contractor and client Carillion on the Kings Cross Cooling Pods contract for Network Rail.

Brad Pettican won best black hat by Carillion and also netted person of the year as voted by the whole site, while the Lyndon team of Brad Pettican, Dan Barton, Jack Kellier and Rob Naggie won team of the year.

Phil Smith, Lyndon Regional Manager said: “The lads cleaned up in these coveted site awards. The job is adjacent to the High Speed 1 link and we have had to devise a unique methodology for the installation of the scaffold, which involves the tethering of all materials. Lyndon Scaffolding Plc contracts manager Daz Shields and our in-house design team spent six months planning and demonstrating a methodology to Network Rail that was both efficient and cost effective for Carillion.”

James Ramsden, Project Manager for Carillion, Kings Cross Infrastructure added: “Well done Lyndons for your safety awards on the Cooling Pod. And thank you for a sterling performance in 2016 – without which we would not be where we are today. The Lyndon team led by Brad on site have been first class and a real pleasure to work with, thank you.”
